Gas prices have long been out of my control. What makes this newsworthy?

10K;
Pres. Obama also said under his energy plan electric prices would skyrocket. Which if he is reelected and the green energy plan with carbon taxes etc persist will happen.
Either way Gasoline prices can be kept more reasonable with appropriate controls on Exportation. Reverting back to the previous limits on Speculation on Commodities in US markets & removing US commodities from Speculative buying on European markets. Also by adequate production of oil & distillation by American Companies. Just like many oil producing countries in the World, the USA can keep petroleum prices lower in their own nation than the world market prices. Of course Canada is another nation that doesn't seem to sell to their own people cheaper than they sell to the rest of the world.

They may be out of (Our) control right now; but not in November … IF the electorate have their heads about them.

Well damn! I've been happily rumping my way through the past several years thinking that I actually did control the price of gas, and suddenly this revalation is thrust upon me. I am SHATTERED! I can only hope that this doesn't trigger some sort of adverse reaction pr otherwise damage my psyche... Oh, cruel world...!!

This article is wrong!!! Gas pricesare the same!! It is just that Europeans are very heavily taxed!! This is what the DOE Director (Chue?)meant that he wanted prices her to raise to European Levels!! The only way to do that is to rais our taxes to their level!!!

its interesting what man of leisure II say's - I have a $156 cell phone bill divide by 3.5 average fill ups per month = $44.50.
Sadly many - particularly our government - do not understand WANT vs NEED.
We also seem to not understand cause and effect. Buy a big car = pay big gasoline bills)
